In The Beginning…

Updated: Nov 16, 2023

I was one year into my widowhood when an opportunity to share my testimony of God's grace and my passion for hospitality through an interview with the morning host of a local radio station. I came in with 2 kinds of cookies, a self published cookbook, and did a 20 minute Q & A that led to a lasting relationship with the folks at WEEC 100.7 FM in Springfield, Ohio.

I began writing and recording short segments on hospitality and "seeing God in the every day." I did this for 10 years until I was sidelined by some health issues related to adrenal fatigue. Posts on this blog will be those written transcripts of the recordings. I let my old website address lapse, so I am beginning anew here at Confectionatelyyours.net.

The recipes from my cookbook are all here. You can also order a cookbook directly from me. I'd love to hear about YOUR recipes and the stories that go with them. Food invokes many memories. The fruit salad always served at Christmas, the caramel cake for which Aunt Ruth was famous, and the homemade chicken and dressing Daddy concocted for Thanksgiving and Christmas are not just food. They are sweet flavors of times past.

Confectionately Yours,

Sue
