Harvest Apple Salad and A Timeline

Hey y'all, the recipe for Harvest Apple Salad is the same as the Fresh Pear Salad, just using all apples. It's wonderful when fresh pears are in season! So many varieties of apples are available year round so sometimes you have to tweak a recipe to fit the season. Enjoy!!
Okay, here's a basic idea of my timeline...
I list all the dishes I'm serving on the right side of my paper.
Let's say we are having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and a salad. This is a VERY simplistic example.
On the left side of my timeline I include every task needed to make the menu happen. This would include:
Meal served at 12:30
Wash greens and refrigerate.
Prep dressing.
Cut up apples and pour on enough dressing to keep fruit from turning brown.
Mix other salad ingredients and set aside.
Prep meatloaf and refrigerate in baking dish.
Prep green beans to cook on stovetop.
Place butter in serving dish to come to room temp.
Mix mashed potato flakes according to recipe. Place in
Baking dish. Dot with butter.
10am-start green beans on stove to simmer.
10:45-Meatloaf in oven at 350 degrees to bake for 1 hour
11:15-Mashed potatoes in oven for approximately 45 mins.
I'm sure you get the idea. 😊
I also do this same type of plan on paper when I make my grocery list prior to the meal.
The foods I'm serving written on the right. Everything I need to have to make each item written on the left.
Confectionately Yours,
Sue
